Although I could figure out some of the men talking about their painful experiences, some weren't clear at all and it adds confusion to the story, which pulls me out of it.

I liked the last bit when Ezra says "okay I see the appeal to vaporizing rock and Ice. It's pretty" nice to end it with some humor.

I have to admit that I don't get it. Perhaps because I don't drink coffee. Perhaps because I'm getting over a migraine and my brain is fuzzy. I'm not sure. I thought I got it and that it was Josiah and Vin had conned him into thinking he'd made the others coffee as usual but then Vin accused him of ruining the prank so it couldn't have been could it. If the percolator donor did it so that Vin could have his own tar brew and everyone else could make their own then how is doing exactly that a prank because if he had made the others coffee the new addition would have been redundant. Must be me. Sorry. Also, you are some way along in these vignettes now and I don't think the character choice applies anymore if it ever did. This isn't Ezra & JD. It's more JD, Vin or the seven. Disappointed because Ezra fic is pretty rare these days.
