Reviews for Corin
mille libri 3/30/13 . chapter 48
Oh, that crafty little Empress! I feel sorry for Henriette, being used as a political pawn - she seems like quite a nice girl. I liked that Fergus was with Anora in the treasure chamber to feel the presence there ... it sounds as though Cailan has matured a little in death.

It sounds like the Chantry wants to rule over Fereldan by using the king and queen as puppets.

Nice scene where Corin and Anora exchange betrothal rings, I particularly like Corin’s ring for Anora. Nice touch in what the couple’s wedding rings represent and that being Fereldan. I do like how Anora and Corin are already starting to plan on what their future goals are for Fereldan after dealing with the post war reconstruction efforts, first being starting a university for higher education. Nice ending of the chapter for Anora and Corin by having him sweep Anora off her feet and I am guessing straight to bed to do intimate things. Interesting twist, now adding to the story with Princess Henriette Mignonette Charlotte Amelie Valaigle and Empress Celene; I swear I have ran a crossed Princess Henriette in a DAO fanfiction before, the one in which Alistair marries an Orlesian princess. I think she may be a match for Fergus; she also could be a good match for Alistair, he’s into Nerissa but she is a mage which would be hard for her to be able to marry an Arl, so she end up a Alistair's mistress she he could have both women or you could solve this problem some other way. Interested in seeing how Princess Henriette interacts with the main cast; keep up the great work, till next time!

Ahh the old battle of church and state. I wonder how it will go from here
MrHam31 3/27/13 . chapter 49
Heh, Alfstanna was right. Those two together are formidable. And is the Grand Cleric serious? Just after a war she wants a better Chantry? Sure, she wasn't privy to the logistics but still...

And one of the reasons why this game is one of my favorites, it's how it "paints" it's major religion. An analogy would be our Middle Ages. Fortunately they placated Elemena and have hmm, frosty (?) relationships with Orlais. Otherwise, what with Elemena's opinion of Corin regarding the mages and a few wrong moves and wham! an Exalted March is on Ferelden. It's not that much of a strech, what with the Divine on Orlais' side.

Ignore the rambling, another great chapter. Thank you.

Chapter 49 was one of more powerful chapters politically speaking you done - it does seem along with chapter 48 to be the opening to a new, sparkling new storyline involving the dear old affair involved Celeste I, Justinia V and in general hinting that there maybe Chantry (the top level at least) conflict with Ferelden's royal pair - oh, the waiting is killing me, but it's the good kind of pain.

The empress thing - well that was natural progression really. She had plans to take Ferelden the more underhanded way, through its king. A king that didn't really fit the throne, did he now?

I wish you good luck writing the next chapter/s and the only advice that pertains something to watch is that Chantry doesn't get shown as enemy; i hate the stereotype problem that seems to have come with DA2 (via speech, the writers show Mages: Freedom ChantryTemplars: Tyranny yet every time it's Mages that cause an abnomination problem... le sigh. Trust the mages to fuck up, no?) On the basic level - don't make Chantry the enemy nor the mages. Because as sum of it's parts it's not the enemy. There will be parts, powerful parts like the Divine and high ranking Mothers that are villains to the royals but well...

Corin and Anora moments make my day on the light note - since you sold the pairing to me, i have to say, i love your version of their interactions and their humanity at the very end. They make mistakes, have doubts and all that. Quality, that's what that is... and i think i stroke your ego enough here, huh...

I can get use to these speedy updates.

This was another splendid chapter.

I liked reading this chapter in Elemena's perspective it was interesting to see her take on Corin and of the situation in Ferelden. Doesn't even surprise me that she was trying to get a new Chantry built.

Good to see Anora and Corin put her in her place in that regard.

Like always its a treat to read the interactions between Corin and Anora. So please keep it coming.

Thanks for sharing,

A very powerful chapter.

Corin was written with grace, strength, common sense and united with Anora. Both together were perfect.

Elemena... Seems she was offering the light and the dark of her opinion, but something tells me she was quite pointed with certain more alarming things, rattlings the hornets nest.

Loved it! Thank you

Ooooh I'm loving these fast updates! And gosh how the Chantry makes my teeth cringe. This smells very bad, as I don't expect the Divine to be sympathetic to Ferelden's plight and position on the mages 'problem'... If anyting, it will serve as a way to control Ferelden more tightly for Orlais! I hope Corin and Anora will be up to the challenge. And I loooove how they both politically interact with each other! Team of awesomeness :D

Good chapter.
Great story.

WHO WILL RID ME OF THIS TURBULENT PRIEST?!

I'm starting to think that Corin and Anora are going to have quite an interesting time on the throne. First Orlesians, now the Chantry mucking about.

Keep up the excellent work.

Maker, I love Corin and Anora, I'm so glad you're giving us more chapters. I'm already excited for the next one! Keep up the great work. :)

I do hope for some chantry burning in the future after reading that letter, stupid damn hypocrites.
Hr'awkryn 3/25/13 . chapter 49
Seriously, Elemena? A giant shiny new Chantry, when the people are starving? Appalling. I shake my head at you.

I really liked the interaction between Anora and Corin. They seem so comfortable with each other now, and I think Elemena's assessment was correct- they make each other stronger. While I don't doubt that Corin and Anora can handle whatever comes their way, I shiver to think of them having to deal with the nonsense and hostility which may come from both Orlais and the Chantry, both formidable and annoying foes!

Man between Orlais and the chantry, people just cant help but screw things up. I bet the Grand Cleric is going to shit a brick if Corin requests that mage be treated like people.
