Why haven't I seen this before? I like the premise... it puts another twist on Pete and Alex's meeting near the end. This might be interesting as a longer story as well, but it works as a one-shot.

Oh man, I did NOT see that one coming! Very nice job of creating an AU one-shot here, and a little dry humor tossed in to create a dystopian Bonnie and Clyde. Bravo.
