[Chapter 4] lol as soon as Gideon entered the scene I was like, Oh boy, a GIDEON HATER must have written this, but then I saw your author's note and felt a little better. Actually I'd give you props for that, many writers can't easily write unsympathetic portrayals of characters they actually like.

On the whole, I'm liking this story. It's very AU, and for me personally, AU is the only way to make Reid/Hotch really work; I know it's a popular pairing but I find to plop that ship into a completely unmodified criminal minds verse is kind of awkward. It's especially intriguing to see Hotchner as a noob, because on the show it's like he's a fixture of the BAU, as if he's been there since the dawn of time!

Oh please please please write a sequel. This was fantastic.

I just read the whole story (so far) in one day and am thoroughly impressed. It's very rare to find a story that switches the positions of characters, while keeping the actual characters as good as you did. As far as I see it, all the changes you made a either necessary for the switch to work or logical consequences of their changed positions on the team, but they're still very much themselves. I like the slow developing relationship between them as well, it's just who they are.
Bottom line: I like it and I'm hoping for more.

I would have liked to see that conversation between Rossi and Reid.

Hotch is interesting. And oh so ambitious. I wouldn't mind Reid being a little more Reid-y, so more details and rambles, but that's also a bit logical considering he's now Chief. And he's still considerably Reid-y.

I started reading this one again. I tell you, this one may be my favorite. I fell in love first with the concept and then again with the actual story. You never cease to amaze me.

Will we see Hotch having Jack later on? You have keep everything eles fairly accuret about thier pressonle lives expect for Ried's mother being dead and even that you kept cannon as possable. It will be nice to see more of your take on Sean as well.
