Ah... repercussions. Something we readers have been waiting to hit Kamei. Nicely played. I got a little lost when you start describing clothes, but that's just a minor hassle.

Don't sweat it. If you're going to keep this as canonical as possible, I'll benefit from reading too. I'm quite bad with following story canons.

That said, I'm just going to nitpick on one thing this chapter (there are other mistakes, but they're fairly minor): Hokuto's black tea. Unless it's some sort of smoothie, black tea is rarely served in S/M/L sizes. It's usually served as cups/mugs, or in pots. Plus, black tea has a different taste than green, so it's less commonly made into mixed or milk-based drinks. An exception is something called Teh Tarik (a frothy variant of milk tea), and even that requires a lot of tea to keep it from being too sweet & milky. At least that's how it is around here, I worked long enough in a cafe to know. Sorry if I missed the mark.

... And Kamei had a plan. I knew it, he gives off an aura of magnificent bastardry right off the bat. Keep it interesting!

I actually can see or at least understand why Kamei has been napping so much. Though construction work may be done in the daylight hours, it is the after-work hours will it achieve its peak rate; also, trucks tend to drop construction materials at night or early morning (at least around here). Assuming Kamei hired the minimal amount of laborers to save costs, he will have to pitch in even though he's technically the foreman... explaining his low energy. It's all explainable, making Iori's outburst rather uncalled for. But then again, since when does tsundere-types' actions are called for? :3

Oho... Do I see shipping hints here? Touma/Miki isn't my favorite pair, but it works too. Kamei is getting more bummy by the chapter... Interesting. Hope to see more!

Kamei is actually quite an interesting character, but he must be handled very carefully. Repairing ACs, playing the piano, and doing construction jobs are very different skills and requiring very different abilities. Now i'm not saying that doing all three well is impossible, but it's very rare. This rarity factor coupled with others can drag Kamei into the Marty Sue territory, which is something you shouldn't do to a character. I have seen your effort on balancing him (by giving him Miki-esque laziness and lack of focus plus his bum looks), and from my standpoint it's working quite well. Time will tell if this can balance out Kamei's strength or not.

Other than that, i can't object to any other aspects to your story. Nice work so far.

Excellent story! I noticed that you are especially gifted in describing characters and settings, and that's really nice when reading a story. I will definitely continue reading and look forward to later chapters. There needs to be more iM S fanfic out there.
