Reviews for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Sword of the Swan
spit-fire extraordinaire 1/7/13 . chapter 1
I can't quite believe this isn't more popular. Looking forward to reading the rest.
canadiangirl13 7/5/12 . chapter 19
I did not forget about this story! I just only got to finish it now. My life has been hectic these last few months that I'm only now catching up with the fanfictions I read. I really enjoyed how you ended the story and I'm now looking forward to readin more or your works! Continue with the excellent story writing!
bakaindisguise 5/13/12 . chapter 19
Wow! I really wish OST would have gone this way! What an amazing, unique and very, very, VERY well written story. Enjoyed it to no end :) and what was really fascinating, I loved your original characters. I doesn't happen often. I would have kept reading even if there hadn't been Sparrabeth in it, because you created and amazing storyline! Of course, Sparrabeth itself was amazing here :) it's really odd this story doesn't have more reviews, because it sure as hell deserves a ton of them! Every Sparrabeth fan (and not only them) should read this. :))
Clever Lass 5/2/12 . chapter 19
Delightful, once again. Always enjoying finding something new of yours to read. Love the angst-filled courtship followed by the deliciously romantic denouement. Had to read that bit twice. :)
A Pirate By Any Other Name 1/12/12 . chapter 5
Does Teague have some aversion to saying "Elizabeth"? I find it extremely amusing that he won't say her name...

Once again you have done a delightful job with everyone's characters, and I liked the emotional undercurrents occurring between Jack and Elizabeth. Promises of what's to come?
A Pirate By Any Other Name 1/12/12 . chapter 4
Oh Lord. You did an amazing job portraying Jack as a young man, I must say. I thoroughly enjoyed his antics and seeing him soundly defeat Lieutenant Alberich. More please!
A Pirate By Any Other Name 1/12/12 . chapter 3
Ah Gibbs the story teller. Great way to open a chapter!

I think you did a fantastic job with Jack's character, and I especially loved this line: "And since I don't have one and vengeance thus being the only course of action left, that is to what we must resort and age does come before beauty."

It is exactly like something Jack would say!

And Anammaria is back...this should prove interesting...
A Pirate By Any Other Name 1/12/12 . chapter 2
Oh I can hardly stand it when Lizzie is depressed. But I am not worried, I know soon enough our dear Captain Sparrow will arrive on the seen...

I love Teague, I just have to say. And I like that he obviously has some affection for the Pirate King. But I thought it was funny that he didn't now what to call her.

And now onward to uncover the mystery of the sword and its owner! Where are you Jackie...
A Pirate By Any Other Name 1/12/12 . chapter 1
Hello again! I am finally back to start writing my reviews of these wonderful chapters...I'm only sorry it took so long...but I am not sorry to have the chance to read this story again!

I love this beginning, I loved the characters, especially Oria. Nothing gets past her! I like the idea that Jack got his start in Italy too. Nice touch!
Florencia7 12/30/11 . chapter 19
*is caught off guard & sobbing*

For some reason I have been living in denial & only now, when I actually saw the word “complete” it dawned on me that the story is, well, complete! How did that happen? Where is more? I want more! I don’t want the story to end! ! ! I want more chapters! I want MORE! ! ! MORE! ! ! *is dragged away by people in white uniforms*

In the meantime…

“"Put the idea in our heads," Jack repeated, a smirk spreading on his face.” – Aw Don’t disillusion Gibbs on this account, Jack! Unless he decides to pursue a new career as a matchmaker... lol

“"The idea was to be stealthy about it, you know. So you'd take no notice." / "You did succeed there," Jack said, his fingers playing in a bowl. "Is this rice?" He waited for Gibbs to nod and then threw a handful at him.” – LOVE this scene!

“His eyes popped at the sight of a woman on each of their arms, painted up and staggering drunk, but there.” – haha “but there” is the killer part of this line LOL

“"I don't even know what exactly that means!" Ragetti said excitedly.” – I can just see Ragetti’s beaming face here

“"You have your mother's eyes." / "That hardly qualifies as advice," Jack said, his head tilting. / "Well, it's not a crushing defeat, is it? You keep an eye on that baby. Be sure you know where it gets its eyes."” – That was beautiful :]

Elizabeth’s wedding dress sounds like the perfect dress, at last!

“"No robbin' the clergy afterwards, ye hear me?"” – This has got to be one of my favorite scenes in this fic. Funny, touching, WONDERFUL.

“"What was that? Stand guard?"” – haha Teague is clearly a risk-taking type

“"Why not?" Teague laughed, finding a discarded glass and clinking it against Remo's. "To new beginnings."” – I like this turn of events very much :)

“"They'll do nothing of the sort. I'm surprised at you, Mr. Gibbs, putting ideas in their heads."” – lol I loved this sentence & I also love Elizabeth saving the day for them ;] It’s so nice Pintel and Ragetti lived to see the day when somebody is actually standing up for them!

“"That, that..." / "Seconded," Jack said. They exchanged a look and turned back to the others. "Who's ready to go for a little swim?"” – Didn't see that coming! But I bet Jack did haha History repeating is all fine as long as happy endings are just as ever-returning :)

I adored this chapter. It was FANTASTIC. I can’t believe this journey is over! I LOVED reading this story so SO MUCH. It will stay in my heart forever - as all your stories do. Thank you so much for this amazing adventure
Florencia7 12/30/11 . chapter 18
lol Pintel and Ragetti surely know who is the boss. Or maybe they just like Elizabeth so much?

I love that Elizabeth devotes a thought to the door going to be broken. It’s the Black Pearl, after all! *hugs the ship*

“Alberich's pistol flew from his hand, now covered in blood. He was a second too late in drawing his sword, Jack smacking it away with his own.” – You make the idea of “watching the story” SO legitimate. The scenes are so fantastically vivid.

“Twisting and pulling with all her might, Cygnus jostled until she wrenched it free.” – Aw It HAD to be Elizabeth :]

“Her muscles remembered the year of training in the Port Royal smithy, drunken degenerates in Tortuga, enraged chimeras of sea creatures on the Flying Dutchman—she could do this.” – I LOVE this series of recollections & the last words just made me smile so much. All the emotions in your stories are always so tangible. They never stay on the page but reach beyond it.

“Elizabeth hacked at it, fighting the urge to hold the sword with both hands. She could hear Will scolding her. The key tapped on her heart when she twisted, gaining her composure.” – This is probably weird but I LOVED the mentioning of Will here lol It just felt so right. And then the key – I love how you craft every sentence, every word. Beautiful.

“Elizabeth placed a reluctant foot in them.” – Time to prove you trust your knights, Lizzie. Coming up: drinking rum from the same bottle & sleeping in adjacent hammocks

“Coolly, with more than a hint of fire in her eyes, she said, "I'm a governor's daughter, actually."” – How do you always ALWAYS manage to do the impossible in the most perfect way? That was fantastic! It was both totally Elizabeth-specific yet related to Jack’s “I’m Captain Jack Sparrow”.

“Chin up, back straight, she took on a regal stance. / "Will you give me away then?"” – It’s all about the opportune moment, isn’t it? :) I loved this. Wonderful scene.

“"You're soon-to-be husband locked them in the brig for what they did to the door."” – ROTFL Perfect chapter ending is perfect
Florencia7 12/30/11 . chapter 17
“Now, mate. Moments of perfection are rarer than shooting stars. "Will you marry me?"” – That was perfection indeed. I loved this moment, very beautiful & I could actually hear the shooting stars swish by :)

“All he had to do was stretch out his arm and free Cygnus from its bonds. Jack played out the entire scenario in his mind.” – I love Jack talking & thinking at the same time. It adds to Jack’s monologues extra-depth & -fun.

“For one moment, their expressions matched, an unspoken truce called in favor of the greater good.” – Your descriptions have this amazing ability to make the reader fully concentrate on them, on the single moment that is being described in an instant.

“He just hoped he could wait until the opportune moment.” - I love how the opportune moment appears to be Jack’s original technique & he doesn’t completely trust anyone, even Teague, to use it properly

“Spotting a gnarled tree near the top of the wall, Jack threw off his coat and lassoed it with the sleeves.” – Your action sequences are always fantastic: unique, concise, intense. This one is no exception & I loved it.

AH It’s so good that I can read the next chapter already!
A Pirate By Any Other Name 12/25/11 . chapter 19
Hello and Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to stop in and leave a note. Even though I've put this story in my favorites a while ago, the only reason I haven't left any reviews yet is because I only just now got around to reading it. :) And I am loving it!

So I will try to get to leaving reviews for the other chapters later this week. I know it can be annoying when people favorite a story but don't leave any feedback.

And before I go, I do have one question. How come Will never responded to Elizabeth?

I'm looking forward to reading your other stories!
Zenappa 12/23/11 . chapter 19
