And I enjoyed your recognition of the implicit 'shippyness of Buffy's "you look at something" line from "Choices".

I don't mind the reuse of the line, myself. I was critical of someone who took the "School Hard" French lesson, and plopped it down in a Season 3 fic, but that's an incident, and Buffy's lines are an honest attempt at schoolwork, not a joke. But "aneurysm" IS a joke (a sad one, in light of "The Body") and I don't see anything wrong with a writer having Buffy re-use a joke, because Buffy does do that sometimes ("kid stuff", "long story").

Besides, the show sometimes cribs from itself, having put "That was bracing" in the mouths of Giles ("Revelations"), Angel ("Choices"), and Riley ("The Freshman"). Three different writers, too (Petrie, Fury, Joss). So don't worry.
