so - review at the end - and I'm glad you finished this - I really enjoyed this! I admit, the first part started off as just plain fun. I thought you caught the characters really well - Cloud's actually intelligent(hence the dry 'obvious' statements), Tifa's a no nonsense kind of girl and Reno - I'll admit, I hadn't really thought too hard about what makes him him before but your fic was really amazing. And honestly, I actually enjoyed watching the three of them interact - it would have been easy to see them secretly enjoying it too but you didn't go that way. Your twist was unexpected but I enjoyed it too. Depth isn't a bad thing and I did like that you managed to keep the story Reno-centric without sacrificing Tifa and Cloud's personalities. I also appreicated that you didn't make either of the males a jerk. There are too many poor writers out there that can't manage a fic without OCing competing characters into the ground just so their chosen 'hero' can win the girl at the end. But you didn't. We felt for both Cloud and Reno and neither one of them ended up being out of character. Your last chapter was amazing well done too - each their own ways and you left Reno's motives up in the air until the end, much as he felt himself. Excellent story all around and I'm glad I came along for the ride. Thanks and great job.

ZOMG! A REVIEW! GYA! It was good. ] I like it... I'm half expecting this to be a yaoi story about Reno and Cloud. I once read a 13 chapter story and didn't realize it was yaoi until chapter 10 ._. Sad... but it never had anything explicit... so it's not entirely my fault really...

I know it's been a long time since you last updated this story and I hope I'm not too late to let you be aware of your success (although I do think you're fully aware of that).

The characters were well... sculpted -ya. I can envision them and their personalities sounded seriously real. I love the way you ended the story. I'm satisfied with it. Reno was a wonderful character in your story.

I was also satisfied by the fact that you ended it as a cloti, not that I was really concerned about the couple in this story. In the first place I thought this story is not gonna have romance in it since it was stated that your story's genre's only angst/humor. But generally, I'm more of a cloti fan so- ya, i ended up more pleased than I should be.

I think I'm thoughtlessly rambling... *scrolls up to the beginning of the review* yup, i guess I am. I hope you didn't mind. This is the longest review I have ever submitted. There's just so much I can say with such a well-written story. Ü

I loved your story! I read the whole thing through in one night! I just couldn't stop! You are an amazing writer and you have no idea how many times you made me laugh! By the way, I'm glad you made the romance part of this story Cloud and Tifa. I personally like Tifa and Reno better, but for this story it just seemed to flow better if it was ClTi. Wow, this has been the best story I've read in mothes! I don't even mind that you dropped off the story like that. It gives room for the readers to finish up what happened to their favorite character. (Reno's the best! ;-]) Anyway, I can't wait to read your other stories!

I love Final Fantasy and I love your writing style, you've portrayed the characters so well, especially when turning Reno, a character created for comedy, into a desperate and lonely young man. It was believable!

This is the first time I've commented on a story but I just wanted to let you know how touched I was :) But the ending made me upset! Not in a bad way of course, I like sad endings as much as happy ones but I so wanted them all to be friends XD

I loved the balance of angst, humor, and just the right amount of romance. You managed to find a state of equilibrium that in combination with your style just flowed so well. I laughed more than a couple of times and yet also felt a sense of...seriousness(if that's a word)...very nice.

. i wanna know more of what happened to reno! did he continue living? did he off himself? what bout cloud and tifa? do they go looking for him? if they do, do they find him? . good story but it left me wanting to read more!

wow, i'm very impressed with the entire story... i started reading it earlier tonight, and couldn't help but sit and read through it's entirety. can't say i wasn't disappointed, as i am a tifa/reno fan... but still, i'm moreso a reno fan, and it was just a lot of fun to read this, a story getting into his character a in a way i've always been curious about. very well written!

I liked this a lot.

Cloud and Reno had very funny interactions in the beginning, which I really enjoyed.

I liked Reno's relationships with Tifa. His love for her seems like a kind of grace-that warms him, that gives him hope and the chance to be forgiven (for being in some sense responsible for the deaths of Jessie, Biggs, Wedge, and the people of sector 7.)

I also like how Cloud and Tifa found each other in the end. A big part of me wanted Reno to get the girl, but somehow, I don't think the story would've worked as well.

I liked this story the whole way through, but what made it especially moving to me was the ending arch. I loved the last chapter. Through this story, Reno really developed into a very interesting, complex character, and his confrontation with Cloud at the end-that was great. It brought on so many internal conflicts at once: about what it meant to be a Turk, and if that mattered anymore, his loyalties to Shinra, his feelings for Avalanche, and more specifically, his feelings for Cloud and Tifa, who by the end, were at least his friends.

The moment Reno threw the nightstick moved me-moved me so much that I don't even think the phrase "but a reminder of his shameful past" needs to be in there.

Reno's ending felt so right. It gave me a sense of weariness and peace and a touch of hope.

I like the writing here. Clear and sometimes quite eloquent. (esp the last chapter).
