Akatsuiki Tsunade?

Brilliant premise. I'd have never thought of it.

Ok, finally caught up to the current chapter.

I like the addition of Shisui and Genma added to the tale for a bit. Granted more of Shisui, but it's still some sort of contact with Konoha other then Jiraiya. Which is noce to see your not keepinh Konoha completely out of the story.

I'd say Naruto's growth is still going at a decent pace. No major power-ups or forcefully stinting his growth. Just a nice steady growth.

Also I don't if it's intentional or not, but I can see Naruto is slowly weaning himself from Asuma. Sure he still looks up to him, but not to the same extent he was in the first few chapters. Maybe it's Shisui's influence that's started that the change, or just getting older.

Whether or not you took the advice from the reviews or it was your own decision, but glad to see you put a stopper on the Kyuubi interactions with Naruto. That would discredit Minato's expertise at sealing and put it at more of Gaara's type of flimsy seal. Which it's not even in the same league as Naruto's.

Had to chuckle at the thought of Tsunade joining the Akatsuki. She can pair up with Orochimaru. I'm sure that would be a hoot of a team. Well joking aside I can see your keeping Shizune canon as the more stable character that tries to keep Tsunade grounded.

Anyways great read which I was wary at first. Look forward to see how things progress from here.

Oh, I like this chapter. Konan was another very grey character. She was so, so loyal to Nagato even when it was painfully obvious that what he was doing was wrong. I sort of think that, if not for Madara, she might have killed Pein herself to give her friend some of the peace he wanted. It was nice to see her meet Naruto here; she will definitely recognize him when Pein sets them all after the jinchurriki. I think it's interesting how many different people Naruto is meeting early in this chapter; he's energetic like in canon but with the love of his father his interactions come across as much less desperate and that seems to enhance that quality that draws people to him. On that note I really do hope you keep Shisui alive here, he's a very compelling character.

Great chapter

Most of the chapter flowed pretty well and was interesting. However the ending left a little to be desired. Sure this is fan fic and anything is possible, but I have to agree with j0hnni's review. The Kyuubi wouldn't be able to come and go in his mind as it's shown. No matter what state Naruto was in at the time. Hell, even at 12 it still took certain death for him to come face to face with it. I'll let it slide since it's a good story so far, but if you get too comfortable with the liberty of interacting between the two then I'll have to stop reading.

Good start and for those that keep up with the manga. Naruto's heritage was actually known by quite a few. Add to that Naruto is probably the only one that could have handled having the Kyuubi sealed into him. Giving that Kushina was it's previous host and it seems something unique in the Uzumaki heritage.

Seems I have some catching up to do, so let's get to reading.
