My word! what an introductory section. Halfway through the reading of that first section, I had a twinge of "this is not quite Helen for me" and then I get to the end and it turns out to be Katherine. Brilliantly done! Wonderful that you included her so appropriately in this storyline and her history with our Nikola.

Then Nikola's counting paradigm. What a brilliant perspective especially with Nikola fretting about Helen not fitting into his pattern of 3s. Wonderful symmetery of Nikola's 3s and The Three. Then of course the lovely banter and heartfelt exchange between Helen and Nikola. This is where I really thnk you come into your own compared to others that do Helen Nikola storylines. Sanctuary-verse gives us exquisite teasing glimpses of their relationship in the time restrictions under which the series operates. You've added reams of width and depth to those glimpses in a believable approach. I feel like I could well be watching scenes out of Sanctuary-verse.
Loved the Will/Henry epiphany! Da Boys do it again! Please don't be too quick to end this scintillating story. Thank you much!

I am not liking "the end is nigh" bit at all. I would be quite content for this story to continue ad infinitum. Your writing is going from strength to strength not just in the unfolding of the plot dynamic but the highlighting and underscorng of all the character nuances, particularly that of Johnny, Nikola and Helen The Three. Love Johnny's introspection of self; one can see how possible it was for Helen to fall in love with this quintessential Victorian/Edwardian Englishman, in his pre-Ripper days. Johnny's pathos is undeniable. The scene between Declan and Nikola was magnificent and totally in keeping with how Nikola in real-time Sanctuary-verse would behave. How poignant Nikola's reaction to being in James's office. Makes one wish we had had more of James in real-time Sanctuary-verse. Then we come to Helen's scene. Our Helen being underhanded? Delightful! She keeps getting these tiny disconnected morsels of information which must be driving her mad. The final revealation is going to be exquisite. Thank you again!

Oh my...what a fabulous chapter. Just soo many great lines. I love the whole part with Katherine and how much he loved her. Beautiful imagery in their scene. Then all the wonderful Helen stuff...oh, just *sigh* and their banter! *knocks their heads together* Also I like your Will, you manage to make him not whiny like so many authors (myself included) and I like his relationship with Aurelian.

OH my, the tension builds! Love the bit of John heartache and the details about the play. Poor creature. And the flashes of emotion from Nikola as he's in James' study after is snarkiness with Declan. Great.

Awesome stories (both Sybarite and The Three), love the spin on the characters you've given them, much more depth than we ever really get to see! Love the work please keep it up)

Absolutely ripping chapter for the range of emotions expressed and advancement of the plot dynamic. Love that Johnny and Aurelian teamed up; they both share the underlying tenet that death is sometimes the price that has to be paid for specific outcomes; the means justifying the ends as it were. Johnny's "I'll go fetch my knives" is wonderfully chilling and the symmetery evoked masterful. This growing comprehension of what could be accomplished by having in one's possession Johnny's ex- elemental coupled with Nikola's ability to enact a "global hijack" is now shaping up to take center stage. Nikola can scoff and deride all he wants. Fact is he's losing ground against this faceless nemesis; his property, his patents, and his agents coming out second best. Helen's hit for six not only from this unknown enemy but also from Nikola's secrets and Johhny's response to this threat of being unveiled as the Ripper. I really, really like watching how this assault on Helen's senses is unfolding. Something's going to give soon. Wonderful chapter. Thank you!
anon 9/27/11 . chapter 9
Really enjoying this "take no prisoners" action mode of Nikola's as this is usually the playground of our Helen. Seems our Nikola can be rather formidable in his approach to eliminating a problem. I am relishing this unknown nemesis who appears to have an advantage over Nikola in terms of abilities to have access to the elemental. Delightful to see our resident vampire at a loss. I must say, that with every chapter I grow increasingly fond of our resident Sybarites. Their presence in the real Sanctuary would enhance the show without measure. Thank you!
PoorQueequeg 9/25/11 . chapter 10
First off 'total global hijack' is THE most romantic thing ever. Secondly, I love when John says 'I'll get my knives'. The Sybarites are turning out to be awesome characters and have interesting character development. And GASP! Lillian Lee, that COW! Excellent, gripping chapter!
