Fuffy ain't my thing so much, though a story now and then grabs the attention due to good writing or interesting concept. Despite the occasional lapse on the latter (discussed by others) both hold here. Nice premise and interesting interaction with the characters. I also like how you still have them still (out of habit, not malice) making old mistakes (such as in this chapter, leaving Faith outa the decision and info meeting on the new big-bad) as a sudden shift would be unrealistic. Old habits die hard, even bad ones, though sooner or later someone will point it out (one would hope Buffy). After all, it was being snubbed that caused much of the trouble initially. Also don't forget the line runs through Faith (Joss admitted he 'forgot' that in Sn7), that has meaning you can use.
The "Jealous Angel" thing is tried and true, though the First (I assume, til proven otherwise) tempting him is a nice twist and can lead to interesting avenues! I do hope that's a hard fight on Angel's behalf: I often think he's a goob, but he's still a Champion. They don't get chosen randomly.
By all means continue and keep it interesting!
