This AU is fantastic, it's such a twisted plot, but because the emotions are true and pure, that makes everything alright again.

If Alfred shares Arthur's feelings, then they need to find out how the other feels! At least let them kiss and realise the other's emotions before the tragedy starts!

And *sigh* i know how Arthur feels me being bi, i too have had accusing looks at school but thankfully my family is supportive (they should be as they are all bi/gay). I'm just glad that we live in a world more supportive today about homosexuality.

A plot like this is rare, even rarer for how well it's written. Alfred is innocent enough to not understand, and Arthur is smart enough to dodge inqueries. His tendency to half-heartedly blame others (society, etc.) seems a little OC, though. He's a respectable traditional Englishman; he should be a totally illogical jerk, denying that. He's doing anything wrong even if he's licking his lips and rubbing his groin watching a grade schooler lick a popsicle.
