Wow, I really like the last bit. If I remember correctly, Xion's name is supposed to mean tides? I think the last bit was fitting. :) I like this one a lot. Riku would definitely have those "instincts" even after his memories of Xion were gone... ;-;

Riku's on the receiving end of a lot of conflicts. It sucks how his duties tore him from having a really good time with Xion. :( In the end, all that illusion had to die out...

D'aww! Somehow, I feel as if happiness for Riku only comes by once in a blue moon. :3 I thought it was sweet that he was willing to help dissipate Xion's pain even if it's just a little.

Those last two lines really do him in, though. Protective Riku FTW... Very nice chapter here! I can't WAIT to see what else you think up for this series.

Riku and Xion really do value friendship in differing degrees. :3 But in all honestly, I think they both act altruistic on behalf of their friends... Just a little too much though. I mean really! Riku and Xion are both self-sacrificing that it makes me want to slap them across the face. T_T ...Okay, maybe that was mean, but I'm just saying. XD LOL

It's interesting how you write Riku viewing Xion as a marionette. The word itself makes sound a lot more elegant than "puppet." I really like the word and how you're alluding "marionette" to Xion herself. :) Great job!
