You know, I usually only read Delena stories but I must say that Elena/Klaus is a shipper thousand times more intersting than Damon/Elena.

What a dreamy little fic- I'm so glad you wrote this. I love the way you played with the idea of fate and how tied to it Elena really is- the question always seems to be there just around the edges of her character and it was satisfying to read how you worked it out.

Favorite scene is, of course, the one where Elena stakes Klaus- what a typical thing for her to do! And the last line, "It's only later that Elena remembers how blue Klaus's eyes were" seems so poignant and so wistful. Your prose have such a sense of poetry about them- they're always so lovely and enjoyable to read.

I also really liked the part where Elena went back to the Salvatores- it played really well with the building sense of nostalgia you've imbued in this fic, paralleled by the scene where she tries to go home (can she go home again? Klaus did keep it for her...?)

Anyway, as always, fantastic job.

Aww I like this! Although I am a die-hard Elena/Damon fan, I do like the thought of Elena and Klaus.
