Zeph 3/6/13 . chapter 3 I absolutely love this. You've captured all of the character's personalities so flawlessly and it feels like a very natural extension of Harvey's storyline from the show. Your writing also has a wonderful sense of depth and realism. I would love to read more. |
swan-scones 2/15/12 . chapter 3Yet again this is perfection, Sara. I cannot praise you enough for this, it's like Shane Meadows himself has written a novel sequel to the film and tv series. The way you've recreated the honesty and grungy beauty of TIE is just so, so incredible "the sun shone out of Kelly's Doc Marten bootlaces" - oh my god. PERFECT. KELLY, ALSO. I'm just adoring her characterisation here, she's so ballsy and caring and amazing - I never feel I get enough of Kelly in the series, so this is wonderful because I feel you've made her so much more whole. And with Harvey and Ches, this is a beautiful thing! Harvey's internal conflicts are so well presented, I feel like I'm literally reading his subconcious thoughts here. JUST AMAZING. This fic has made my crappy week awesome, MORE! :) much love! |
swan-scones 9/19/11 . chapter 2Oh, my God. :O So firstly, bb, you've no idea how much I've been looking forward to this - and it was everything I'd imagined it. You've got such a perfect grip on every character here, and it's so very grittily, realistically written. I love your style, because its so no-nonsense, yet really beautiful, and it reflects everything Meadows created with the film/TV series. I'm just bowled over. Harvey is absolutely fantastic - you sense an inner strength to him, and deeper buried, a weakness, and you've expressed that so frankly, but sort of - not obvious. Ches, as well, is adorable and sort of, cheeky and rotten and lovely. Just as I'd imagined, she's perfect. :D As demonstrated in your other TIE fic, you write Lol/Kel/Trev and Woody wonderfully true - the finetics! I seriously could never 'write' Woody's accent. You bloody genius. This seriously feels like I'm watching a film. It's just diamond, it really is! :D I can't wait for more, because, already, this is brilliant. AGH I LOVE YOU THIS IS AMAZING YAY! :D |
