it's a collection of cliches bundled up in several chapters, but what the heck, i like it anyway (i finished reading all 5 chapters, didn't i?).

one of the reasons i like it is that you didn't waste time writing about the scene post-ultimecia and trying to make sense of everything (which i think can be tedious and takes a lot of ingenuity to write to make things fit). and even though you didn't elaborate, you stayed true to the characters-seifer's remorse about his role in the sorceress war, zell's endearing klutziness (is there such a word?), rinoa's possession of her sorceress powers, etc. other writers seem to have conveniently forgotten that seifer does have some deep issues, which are pretty hard to ignore and cannot be forgotten or changed overnight. yet you have addressed that pretty well:

Rinoa: "That wasn’t me! I was possessed!”
“So was I!” Seifer roared back.

that btw is my favorite line in the story.

Haha! I loved that last line there. This story was very well done. I loved the antics of Quistis' friends to cheer her up, and most of all, I liked the ending. It was very sweet, and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

Lol. Oh, so you hate it, do you? Ha! I admit it's a far cry from Rain of Roses, but it's really not that bad… for a Seiftis. (shudder) Okay, so the couple has it's charm, but honestly, how many times can you recycle the same idea? Oh, sorry about that ranting. (Don't like Seiftises).
I think for one thing that the melodrama of it all sort of took over. Quistis loves Seifer, Seifer loves Quistis, Seifer misunderstands and leaves Quistis, Quistis cries, Seifer comes to apologise and thinks Quistis is with Irvine… and then finds out she (obviously) isn't. Quistis thinks Seifer is with Rinoa. Seifer thinks Quistis is with Squall. And then they get married. It was amusing at times, but still… it's an unbelievable soapie.
I liked how the main characters got their little cameos (except for Irvine) where they got to open up a bit or assist either Quistis or Seifer. And your little explanation of Seifer made me sit up and take interest - possessed, eh? Hmm. But in the end, it was all a bit too cliched for my tastes.
