I can't believe no one has thought of a Lord of the Rings/Halo crossover before. Or maybe there are more out there and I just haven't seen them...

Either way, this seems like the start to something, well, extraordinary. I get the impression that you aren't planning to finish this story anytime soon though, and that saddens me greatly.

When Master Chief said "You just have to have the right stance" I couldn't help but to smile. Your repetition of the word "have" didn't bother me at all, that's how genius it is. See, the whole "I'll teach you the right stance" thing has been used in romantic stories so many times, but never like this.

If you ever feel like continuing writing this story, know that you have a devoted fan. I knew there was something special about this the moment I saw the title. "Master of my Heart", ah yes, the very definition of brilliant.

Bradley, I'm using a technique called "in medias res" to start the story off with some action. Later chapters will address your concerns with flashbacks while still allowing the romance to remain front and centre. Please be patient and allow the story to develop.

Ok, putting aside the lash, I don't even know what is going on. You just threw in the Chief into the LotR story without giving us any background on how he ended up with these people, why he agreed to help them, why they AREN'T wary of him and very trusting. The Master Chief is OOC so this will put off potential readers. He's acting way to OOC.

Polish this fic up. It just feels like a parody of all the crappy romance fics out there.
