Very well written. The chapters are a little short but that's just a personal preference. Characterisation is well, motives are wonderful. I'm honestly glad to come across someone who writes both Lauren and Dyson fairly and well. It seems it goes one way or another and I find that drags down the quality of the story, so thank you.

I'd like to see how they try to heal Lauren, though I have a feeling that her health is linked with that of the creature. It was interesting getting a bit of perspective from the funky monkey, as well as from Hale. Please continue.

Hey, just read all this in one sitting and it's downright creepy and good! That little monkey fae freak is quite scary and I cannot bear the thought of him getting his slimy paws on Lauren again. I feel so bad for her that in her state, she still feels like she has to protect and hide her emotions from everyone. Of course, with Kenzi ready to bitch slap her over ever little thing and everyone stating that they don't trust her because of the Ash, I don't really blame her for not wanting to be vulnerable in front of any of them. Did they miss the memo where it was stated that she is a slave to the Ash? Do they not understand that she doesn't have the luxury of saying 'hell no' anytime he demands something of her? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Trick, Dyson and Hale all under the Ash's authority and rule as well? So what the hell are they so distrustful of Lauren for when they are in the same boat as she, albeit with a hell of a lot more freedom and respect given? Just seems kinda sucky that they all reflect the same distrust when she's done nothing to deserve it other than be owned and apparently trusted by the Ash. Btw, where the hell is he in all this while his prized ward is under attach? Uh, isn't this where he's supposed to go all badass and make a fae pay for touching his property? This ugly little bastard deserves any little bit of pain they can throw his way. Evil little primate terd!
