I've been meaning to review this for a while now, but now feels to be the time with April 30th only days away. :)

I read this, expecting it to be nothing more but a run-of-the-mill PWP. But...you surprised me. This fanfic was not only well-written, but had a very well done story. Re-imagining Soarin as a shy insecure guy who puts the face of confidence to hide his true self was a brilliant touch. The back stories on Soarin's victory and Spitfire learning to fly were heartwarming. In fact, I kind of stopped thinking it was a lemon and wanted to see more of the back stories. While I don't necessarily like lemons, this was well made and descriptive. I smiled at the terms Soarin read in trashy romance novels. I've never read one, and those already sound like one! XD

The best part is the fact that even if you wrote this in a lower rating and got rid of the lemon, I would STILL reread this and praise it again and again. It's that well written, my friend. Overall, this is one of the best romance fics I've read. You've done well with this, Proteus because I don't know if I'll ever find another fic like this. :)

So, how old are they in relation to each other? Because Spitfire being captain and Soarin' in the Young Flyers Competition doesn't add up. Fantastic idea and execution, though. I enjoyed reading this.

One word: AMAZING! You not only made this a lemon but a really good story of love, comfort, and yes Belief but not just for one pony but 2. They belived in each other and loved each other because of that. You sir or mam have made a MASTERPIECE!

That was a good lemon.

That was a very nice clopfiction. Instead of being mindless porn, it actually had a reason for all of that to happen. No grammatical or spelling errors, and overall well-written. I hope to see a continuation.

That was very good great detail (not talking about the lemon) the past tied well with the future keeping the reader hooked on every word waiting for the next surprise and they were delivered
