I loved this chapter! Competly different but lovely and fun to read. By the way, the quote you used in the author's note is one of my favourites :)

Ah, Froggie, I am SO happy you are back writing for this story! And to do it in such style - just amazing. Can't imagine another ff writer who could have (i) come up with this idea or (ii) pulled it off this well. The poetry is fine enough - way more than fine, actually. But beyond that I think you flat out nailed the choice of who is which Alice character. And you also nailed how each would speak and what they would say.

Brilliant.

Fucking brilliant!
I know I've been lax in my reviews... My apologies. But I just had to comment in this poetic stroke of genius! I was all but howling in laughter the entire time!
You really are bloody talented, Froggie!

Alright, so this definitely fits in the better late than never category! RL got away from me over the holidays, but I did not want to let another chapter get by without a proper review.

I think this chapter is a perfect example of why I like the way you write. While there is always something happening, that is not the core of what's important. The core is the relationships, the pushes and tugs between characters, which pull them - sometimes subtely and sometimes not - closer together and closer to understanding and appreciating each other.

Case in point - yes, this chapter is about a rally for the NHA, which is a hugely important issue and one that Gina and Naomi would absolutely support. But it's really about the fact that Gina and Naomi always celebrate Naomi's birthday together, and that they do so by attending a rally, because Gina always wanted to instill a sense of purpose and power in Naomi - that she can change the world, one small piece at a time - and Naomi wants to be sure Gina knows she appreciates that. It is a lovely way of telling us so much about the relationship between them without really talking about it at all. I mean, the fact that Gina calls it "Naomi day"? Just flipping beautiful. And "Boundaries, Mom. Jesus!" Is one of my all time favourite bits. In three words you described a huge chunk of their relationship - the good and the bad and the occasionally mortifying - just perfectly.

Got the same feeling from the Katie /Emily text exchange. I mean, "slag of my heart" is so brilliantly descriptive, and funny, and perfectly sums up the love, and teasing and aggravation of their relationship from Emily's pov.

As for the end, well, you left me wishing I could hear Gina's speech!

So, what's next? :)

Oh Gina, my fellow dreadlocked sister in arms, how I love you! A rally would be her idea of a birthday celebration huh. What better way to celebrate your birth than to try and preserve and better the world for the births that shall follow. Cheers for the update, it was a fantastic read. Glad to see you haven't given up on this. Have very Happy Christmas!

Also, Naomi Day should be an official holiday. Just saying lol
HyperFitched 12/19/12 . chapter 26
As I have mentioned before, I fell in love with your story (and subsequently you), because you had vividly created a world I could recognise and relate to. This chapter only proves the point - this scenario felt perfectly natural to me, and I had a strong visual image of the rally and march. The cause is one that is incredibly relevant in current UK politics and there is absolutely no doubt that any real life Gina would be out on the streets for the NHS. When reading this I kinda felt I was there with them, and you can't say better than that. Very authentic and lots of fun, I hereby declare you an honorary Brit xx
