Actually, in "the symbol's life" Ash pits his Charizard against Noland's Articuno in a battle. I'm not sure if Articuno is captured or not, but Noland does command it.
Dabrikishaw 9/7/07 . chapter 1
As long both the pokemon and the trainer love and care for each other, the bond they share showa that the trainer is as strong as the pokemon.

Yes.

It is...

I will not explain.

Good fic.

Why I designed my self-insertion as a super-powered robot. And made the character "Green" be not fully human, capable of wearing his equipment (plates of metal over bulletproof fabric, covering his body, and a type of metal crossbow on his back, not to mention the minimized stuff, altogether over 100lbs) and still being able to jump onto the Tyrannosaurus Rex from Jurassic Park's head. Green is VERY strong, physically.
Sentrovasi 6/2/06 . chapter 1
Hubris... Hamartia... Kismet.

He had it coming to him; it's all I can say.

Reminds me of a very old game called MonsterSeed I once played. You could either summon monsters or attack others yourself. Also, possibly, Magi Nation.

But of course this is Pokemon. And trainers are patently incorrigible.
Crystal Light 12/27/05 . chapter 1
Hubris- You gotta love it when that comes back and bite you in the butt.

This is a really humbling fanfiction. It also makes me really wish that there was more to the games than to raising you Pokémon to beat the Elite Four and capturing the Legendaries...

Yes.

That scared me...

But it was true. And ironically so...
Redemmo 10/30/04 . chapter 1

Gabe 7/14/03 . chapter 1
Call me sadistic if you will but I would love to see that guys face when Mewthree teared him apart.

Good story
JAG1 10/27/02 . chapter 1
Your right of course that trainers aren't anything without their pokemon but all beings need comfort, love, and a feeling of belonging. A good trainer provides this to all of his pokemon and allows the pokemon to support his other pokemon.

Its interesting, look at the human race. The inventions and renovations that we rely on are the work of a few. Franklin, Edison, Ghengis Khan, all of them changed the way humans lied with their brilliance. If they are like the pokemon, the real power behind the team, then the rest of the population would be the trainer, the dumb one that looks on greatness and discredits it bases on one flaw.

Also, You didn't look at the other possibilities for being the best, lonliness from outranking everyone else and boredom from having nothing to do. Read my Pokemon story, Recipe for disaster, it follows two powerful but radically different trainers and a novice trainer through a bizarre and shocking train of events.
Supermoo 8/6/02 . chapter 1
*Looks at review below this* hehe, you should look the words up before you ask the question 'n then you'd see they have a lot to do with the ficcie, moinky. Vainglory is like being really really vain and hubris is like um sorta being really arrogant and stuff because of your pride. 'n moinky to all of you!
Deena 5/26/02 . chapter 1
Another great angsty fic, Farla! One question, though, what does the title have to do with the fic? Keep writing!.
Charles RocketBoy 4/29/02 . chapter 1
HAHAHAAAAAAAA! I get it. TRAINERS AREN'T STRONG. Without Pokemon, they're nothing but little brats (which most of 'em are anyway). Brilliant, and very eye-opening.
Orange Sulphur 4/27/02 . chapter 1
I'm not sure what you meant by get it, but I'm probably just being ignorant. Anyway, great story. At the risk of sounding morbid and sadistic, I'm really glad you killed that trainer off.
Patchwork Poltergeist 4/27/02 . chapter 1
Yeah, I get it all right. Mewthree reminds me of Eon from Pokemon Revolution. Good work as always.
