All I can say is... wow. That was amazing and beautiful and sad. Simon was definitely my favorite character in the book and this did justice to him. Very powerful and touching, so much so that I got a little emotional. I almost started crying when Ralph recalls Simon telling him that Ralph would get off the island, without mentioning himself. Just phenomenal, I loved it.

wow. That was powerful. It's cruel but true. It almost made me cry, and I never cry for fictions.

I can say the whole thing is an art piece. And the last part...wow. That's all I can say. You did a very good job.

Definitely one of the best fictions I've read yet. You demonstrate an excellent understanding of the book, and it's so very clearly written. If I were your instructor, I'd give you an A. :)

I read Lord of the Flies in year nine English.

I couldn't see the alegory in it as well as I can in this, Simon's innocence in death. I suppose, at a different age, he'd have become an enlightened priest and been saved but knowing about the beast. But the youthful inability to understand those things kicks in.

So good I got goosebumps. Great story.

This was a great piece, Steph. It summarized the main points of the book and Ralph's real understanding of it all. I especially liked the little bits about not being able to see..and I love the last line.
