Alabaster86 10/14/11 . chapter 1First, I feel terrible for missing this story and not reading and reviewing earlier. In all honesty, I haven't been reading any fanfic lately and I'm finding it enough of a job to get any writing done.
Lame excuses aside, I love this piece. It's got a bit of everything, from humour to history (flashbacks are great btw),to drama.
You weave all the different times together effortlessly. Nothing seems clumsy or out of place.
Probably my favorite part is Mai's and Katara's triumphant moment at the rally just after their husbands' deaths. It was sad and uplifting at the same time.
As for Tenzin and Korra etc, they are pretty much what any author wants to make them now (aside a few details), but you make all the new charaters very likeable and appealing.
Being Canadian, I would call Zuko's son 'Zed'. :P |
Somariel 10/11/11 . chapter 1Wow! This is an awesome follow-up to "Call Down the Heavens". I love the idea of a double funeral for Aang and Zuko. I also like the idea of Aang's funeral giving the Fire Nation a chance to say goodbye to Roku. I really love the closeness between the families of the members of Team Avatar that you've shown here. And then tying everything up with Tenzin and Korra - you are an amazing writer.
I'd love to see a chapter in "Crown Prince Chronicles" covering Roku's appearance in the council room.
All that said, I did notice one, maybe two, typos. You wrote "Avatar /Kyoski/" instead of "Avatar Kyoshi" and I'm pretty sure that the spelling for the name of Tenzin's wife is "Pema", not "Pemma". |
