 Miggs 4/17/12 . chapter 1Dawwwwwwwwww! |
Warped-Imagination 1/13/12 . chapter 1Awe I finally got around to read fan fiction again. I truely like happy endings as well. Besides Rod and Liz deserve one. I'm glad you took the time to write your beautiful stories and who knows when the Muse hits to write some more about these two. |
Dorisling 12/24/11 . chapter 1I really love this one. This is sooooo sweet.
And talking about Austria putting up with America... I remember studying how under the Marshall Plan, Austria has to buy wheat from America (that's one of the plan conditions). And immediately in my head I pictured how America, driving his plane and laughing his laugh that always seem to annoy England, practically barricaded Austria's door with huge bags of wheat, so that Austria is trapped inside his house, and America's like, 'no need to thank me!' :DD
Enough of my own drabble. I love this fic! :DD |
 fangirl05 12/18/11 . chapter 1I always love a good bit of Austro-Hungarian fluff 3. |
violonforte 12/18/11 . chapter 1Yey for happy endings!
The Iron Curtain events actually scare me a lot more than WWII events because, well... Russia scares me. And events regarding it are not really stated or given emphasis to (at least, in fics that I have already read), so it just stays in the dark, AND MYSTERY IS SCARY. So fics about the ending of, or contributors to the downfall of, the Iron Curtain almost always fill me with a sense of hope and hapiness. great job! :D And I do think Hungary should also have gotten a Chanel dress. xDDDD |
almostinsane 10/27/11 . chapter 1Great story! This was rather sweet. I'm glad for Austria and Hungary. Thanks for writing this. God bless! |
 fireblazie 10/26/11 . chapter 1HAPPY ENDING, YAY! :D
Oh, this is a satisfying ending to the entire arc. I've half a mind to reread the entire arc right now, actually (and you know what, I just might!). I could just feel Austria's shock and disbelief at finally seeing Hungary - something of a ohgodshe'shereshe'sactuallyhere; it was fantastic. And at "For the first time in over seventy years, he kisses her", I melted. Melted, I tell you.
Other details I loved: Austria confessing he kind of likes rock and roll, America filming The Sound of Music, AND CHANEL DRESS YES I loved Diamonds and Rust - it was one of my favorites in the arc, if not my actual favorite. It's difficult to pick just one.
tl;dr I've loved reading this arc, I've loved receiving email notifications of new stories you've uploaded. I'm kind of sad it's over now, but hopefully I'll see more from you in the future. And I would love to get my hands on that Edelweiss FST, so I'll look out for that too :D |
Lycoris Calantha 10/26/11 . chapter 1I love your Edelweiss arc, you know that? I don't know, I think it's how you handle the characters, (and it's not even especially Austria because I love your Poland and how he's so sassy and sneaks into your stories) and how details run throughout the individual stories and it's the Pan-European Picnic plus random historical details that are woven so in-character they're practically, what isn't to love?
So. Um. That said, thank you for this. Made my day. . |
LilRicki 10/26/11 . chapter 1Gorgeous. Just . . . just gorgeous. I'm actually a little bit sad that I only just discovered you as an author, because now I can't leap with joy every time one of your fics arrives in my inbox. _
Of the Edelweiss Arc, I mean - I hope to still leap with joy as you write other pieces . . .
The part about the Chanel dress at the end made me giggle mightily!
I absolutely adore historical!Hetalia fanfic, so thank you so much for the ending notes, as they really help me appreciate the fic so much more.
You should know that this Edelweiss Arc has pretty much turned me into a hardcore Austria fangirl overnight. Well done.
I ached for Austria in this fic, but in a good way. Thank you for sharing.
:)

Alix Cohen 10/26/11 . chapter 1awww so sweet! (Sound of Music? Seriously? lol...and /rock and roll/? Wow, it has been a long time...)
"why didn't I get a Chanel dress on the black market?" Laughed at that. Oh Roderich...well, better a bad time and a good story than a good time and no story at all.
Thank you for writing this. |
