As for the end of this story...It would seem as though the tentative steps towards "normality" have been taken. I can only imagine how wonderful it would have been for Cal to hear Emily laugh again after her ordeal. It must have been like music to his ears:)

There really is just something irresistable about Cal and Tim as an actor when he "goes after" someone in this fashion;) It's not only about what he says, but how he says it that has the person on the other end thinking and questioning their actions.

Such a sweet ending! I love how the last two lines of dialogue were simple, yet not. Was a very fitting end for this story! And I'm very happy that Cal gets a sweet ending with both of his girls. :)

Glad that you continued and completed this story. Such a lovely ending. A glimpse of hope that Emily will be fine again thanks to Cal and Gillian (and Zoe) being there for her. BUT your words at the end (as nice as they are) sound as if this is supposed to be your last fic for LTM. Please tell me that I only misinterpreted them... I need more LTM/Callian fics from you.

I have to admit that I had a little trouble to find back into the story (because I'm all caught up in the universe of your other story, obviously). ;) Nonetheless, I liked this chapter, especially the ending.

"Maybe Emily would open the door for him and have a chat. Maybe tonight he wouldn't hear the muffled crying hidden under the pretense of a cough. Maybe."

Just because Emily is safe at home doesn't mean that everything is okay just like that. Things like that take time.

I'm a bit in awe of the Cal in this chapter. ;). Such a nice surprise to get a new chapter notification for this, and then to read such dead-on descriptions of how he's reacting was doubly wonderful. You write him very, very well and you are hands-down the best among us for capturing drama and action. Well done, as always.

First of all, I'm glad that Emily is okay and that nothing happened to her while she was drugged.

As to the chapter, it's the little things that count - Gillian who sleeps with her head on Cal's shoulder, Cal who realizes that Gillian is his anchor to sanity and Emily who holds Gillian's hand and finally can relax. Thanks for sharing this lovely chapter!

So glad that Emily is safe but is she really going to be ok? Will Cal stop there? I doubt that. Good thing they have Gill around.

So happy to see a new chapter! Hurricane Sandy has thrown life into a bit of chaos here on the east coast, so I'm just now getting a chance to read it.
