This story is in my opinion, your best work so far. Congratulations on a job very well done. It is a beautiful and touching story. And I loved the little moments of humor sprinkled throughout! Loved how Paulie kept calling Jarod, "Dada", much to Miss Parker's chagrin! And Debbie's line ("I am not the one you should be scared of. His mother has a gun.") was truly priceless! Again, thanks for the wonderful story Melanie-Anne!

This is a very sweet story. I'm a sucker for fairy tale endings... :-)

Specifically, though, I was a little skeptical of the way Parker "magically" changed and got all protective of the child... but you convinced me completely when you provided a valid reason for the change of character. VERY well done! :-)

Later, I was impressed by the way you played with the reader by "using" Jarod- it was masterful!

My only remaining skepticism is the quickness with which you disposed of Raines, but it's OK. I got over it equally quickly.

And of course, I loved the happy ending.
