I love your depiction of Vegeta, you are hands down my favourite author when it comes to him. Stories like this make him justice. When you read the other fanfics around his life on earth, he may come across as some grumpy old man, but when you read stories like this you understand why he might be the way he is and why is so hard for him to admit affection to other people, even his own family.

Please dont forget this fic!. I am dying to see the end. I wish you can find the inspiration to take the story to the time when Vegeta decides to go to earth searching for the dragon balls : ) That would be really interesting and full circle for the people like me who have been following all your other fics!.

Another of your brilliant stories around Vegetas life. I love how much thought you put into your descriptions of his world. The statistics about psychological disorders and suicides in Friezas Army is something that hadnt crossed my mind, and when I started reading this story is sounded so obvious.

I also like the way that you dont try to portrait him as a victim. Instead he appears to be a more complex character, driven by revenge and an unhealthy thirst for power. I love this kind of characters that make you question if you should be rooting for them or not.

This is probably one of the most ruthless renderings of Vegeta's past I've read. I am really glad that it's so low on the pity factor. I've found that a lot of other authors tend to paint him as too much of a victim and that usually makes those stories unrealistic. Your fic is gripping in every aspect as you've built this universe with its own rules, social norms, vivid characters, and very real psychological profiles. Routine execution of troops and frequent suicide and murder are simply facts of life here, and after several chapters of this bleak environment, I feel I have a new understanding of Vegeta's character, especially for the way he acts in canon and in your other stories when he eventually tries to adjust to a life of peace.

My favorite moment so far is when Vegeta wonders briefly, irrationally, if Zarbon actually was concerned for him. That is such a human moment and natural wishful thinking, a small glimmer that slipped through the cynicism and distrust through which Vegeta sees the world. It highlighted just how dark of a life he has led that there is absolutely no one he can call a true friend and furthermore doesn't even understand the concepts of friendship or kindness.
