This is a really nice addition to the saga, pointing up the differences in their upbringing and expectations. It also illuminates the nature of the bond they forge.

This was so sweet! And it's interesting that Alistair, as the less experienced partner, is the one who had kept his head clearer about what he wants and the consequences. Templar mental discipline, I guess.

This is full of intriguing ideas. Yes, the question of what happens to a Warden's child (especially the child of a female WArden) is very much up in the air. I also can see that dwarven Wardens might be far more resistant to the Taint, just as all ordinary dwarves are.

*sigh* This was poignant and lovely. The familiar comfort of a loving relationship... you can feel how the years have solidified their feelings for each other. This was made so much more moving by the hint of loss yet to come but, we, the readers, want to savour each remaining untainted day right along with them. Wonderful.

oh wonderful, I take it Thora is pregnant or was pregnant with Alistair's child and has it at some point. Does Alistair find out about the baby at some point?
