Wow, this story was a blast from the past - but I DO remember it!

I can sympathize with Bella's sentiments. Edward really hurt her by his abandonment and lack of faith in her. It would be hard to just bounce back from that and I'm sure Edward now (since he knows the complete truth) must have feelings of deep guilt for what he did to her based on total lies. I would have to believe that their trust issues would need to be reworked from scratch because those feelings (on both sides) just don't go away.

And, yes, I did believe that he bought the house - I amaze myself sometimes (lol)!

i think bella didn't want to spite her face by cutting off her nose. sure she's mad but cutting edward out of her life again would cause her more pain and be something she would always regret. by forgiving him she has a chance to be really happy. that doesn't mean he wont have to make it up to her.
