It's just so perfectly bittersweet and chillingly emotional.

Oooh...That was amazing. Very powerful piece of writing. I actually felt quite sorry for the poor dukey. *sniffles* Many people portray him as a one-dimentional character who's a bit pathetic and insane, but hasn't got any deeper feelings beyond those. It's wonderful to find fanfictions that explore his character so well. :)

This is wonderful. I love the twist at the end...and being inside the Duke's head is a new thing to try. Keep trying vignettes like this, they're really interesting!

As a huge fan of Moulin Rouge and the "Dark Fiction" and in the process of writing my own Dark Novel, this is good and I really liked it, good job!
