I completely adored this story. I think it captures the aching intensity of their bond so well. I could feel them yearning through the barrier of the confessional. And so canon as well - in history and fiction, I think. I can't help but love this pairing - and your depiction of them here reminds me a little of Byron/Augusta in Jude Morgan's novel "Passions."

Anyway, I hope that you right more Cesare/Lucrezia. They are so addictive.

i think that's just how it's supposed to be, sad as it is. they can't ever be together, and still they are and will be. really beautifully written
