Reviews for Drumknott Gets An iPad
Kat Ducat 6/17/12 . chapter 1
Getting an iPad would definitely mean that the piles of paper on Vetinari's desk got permanently stored in the nearest source of open flame...hmm...

Drumknott is not very happy.

'It looked like the sort of thing that went /bingely-bingely-beep/.'

OH. OH, fffffffff, can't breathe.

Spot on Vetinari voice and Vimes and Drumknott. I love you.

Lovely story! Great idea!

Actually, the dreaded Day might not be to far away. Ponder Stibbons has HEX, a sort of mainframe running on magic. Herbert Turvey has the Glooper, another thinking machine running on water. What if these two kindred spirits and techno-nerds get together and find some way of interfacing their respective thinking engines, even though at present their operating systems appear to be wholly incompatible? Would the result not be some sort of, er, "Fishingnet" arrangement to trawl for new insights and ideas? And of course there are always omniscopes... (which I use in my stories as a sort of portable walky-talkie device for the Watch, and as a primitive way of establishing communications between the Air Police and Ground Control...)

Just a thought, if you feel you can use it, go ahead... too many ideas and not enough time...

This is a cute little drabble which captures the spirit of the Discworld well. It inspired me to write: "The Interment Net."
