Well, I'm not a big fan of Sess/Rins, but I read this because I saw the summary in someone's favorite lists, and I've got myself an AU fic that involves Kagome trying to take Rin away from Sesshoumaru.I was worried that I'd accidentally jacked someone's idea without being aware of it, but in yours, it seems background-ish, and just a setup to explain Rin's change in personality.

*whew*

Anyway. Okay, Sesshoumaru gave up Rin pretty easily, but that was explained nicely. I can imagine Sesshoumaru turning colder after being grabbed hold of by the little girl, especially since he wouldn't want Kagome to see that he actually cares for her. Although the line "He could never marry a human" threw me off, because it seems a bland statement. I'd think if he ever thought about marriage and humans in the same sentence, he'd be a lot more vehement about it.

Also, Sesshoumaru's being awfully rash when Rin arrives. I think Rin's change in personality is very cool, but Sesshoumaru's acting horny and immature. I've always pictured him as calm and controlled. Especially in the case of a human.

Anyway, good start, even if it looks as if you haven't updated in forever.
