In the first song, Frodo's devotion and concern for Bilbo and also his reluctance to leave were expressed very well.

I liked the drinking song. It was very lighthearted and funny and I can imagine it would often be heard throughout the pubs of Middle-Earth (especially in Hobbiton, I would think).
