I don't think Potions is very Squib-acessible at all. If a Muggle were to put the exact same ingredients into a cauldron the exact same way as a wizard, it shouldn't work because there's no magic to make it work. It'd just be a cauldron full of mess. If a Squib were able to channel his or her magic into the potion though, I suppose it would work. It is very much an instinctive thing however.

Azoth is a purr-fect name for the black one. A kitten will be good for Snape, I think he was pleased but doesn't want to admit it. I am happy Callandra got sorted into Gryffindor, she is a perfect fit there, brave, kind, and talented. I like how the two "magicless" squibs have powers that the wizards don't have, but then nature loves equilibrium.

A Cheering Charm is probably the worst punishment for Snape, why didn't anyone think of it sooner. Poor Sirius though, a face full of quills is worse that being happy for a couple days. When the two of them get together, they act like eight year olds. I think deep down they respect each other. I only say that because their situation reminds me of the one between me and my arch rival, we bicker constantly but he's really like a brother.

You are right on about Callandra's expectations at Hogwarts, as many have noted. There are some areas that don't require much wand magic (astonomy could also be added to your already long list). Even Muggles might have more magic in them than they are given credit for (or at least my sister who is wiccan would argue so!). I think that the dilemma Draco is in is facsinating, I wonder what he'll do. I also wonder what compells wizards to join Voldemort, it's not as if it's a glamorous occupation.

Completely off the subject, I finished "Loose Ends" with a proper happy ending. You seemed to think the last chapter was the end, so I thought you'd like to know that.

This was so great! I really enjoyed your original characters (Callandra and the Morgan sisters). I thought it was very cool that Callandra was sorted into a house. The way you wrote Sirius Black was very interesting (although he's not a favorite of mine in anyone's stories). Filch's perspective, as always, is extremely fascinating. And Draco ... I really want to see him become someone different than his father too, and just maybe Snape can help him. Oh, well, it may be years before that comes up in the books. Still, I've really enjoyed your stories!!

Hi! I'm back from Switzerland and catching up on everything I've missed over the past week and a half.

First, I just have to gush. Aww! The kittens are so CUTE! (and so is Snuffles--"Do you, by any chance, have your camera with you?"--*snicker*). I love all of their names, especially Azoth's. Obscure, intellectual, and it sounds like it belongs to a demon. Perfect for Snape's kitten.

The Azoth-Severus interaction is *ducks in adavnce to avoid the curse Snape will surely send her way* absolutely adorable. "Bile black demon" indeed! I would bet money that that thing is going to sleep on Snape's bed. On top of him. Digging it's claws in and out and purring.

And I really liked the end of the chapter (GO Filch! And Moody!). All the readers, of course. already knew that Filch belonged to/with/in the castle, but of course, being Argus the self-esteem-free, he had to have it proven to him. And speaking of Moody, are he and Sirius going to persuade Filch to try out the door on "Snuffles"? Or are later circumstances going to force them into it?
