Curse my nack for finding great fics that haven't been updated in years! But, seeing as you *have* written fics recently, this is one of the few such fics that I can reasonably hope to see finished -

I've really liked this so far. The development between Cid and Vincent is great. And, despite my dislike for him, having Hojo as the villian is really great and an interesting twist.

I do hope you find the inspiration to continue this, and thanks for sharing it :]
