|Reviews for A Familiar Sickness|
| Weasley 7/13/12 . chapter 9
Yes, Jolene...you had better learn NOT to laugh! *pretend glare*
Nicely done ending, and it's good to see that the youngest girl is about to get a good lesson for the future. Thank goodness that the incarnation of this family here isn't falling back into any horrible impulses, and thank you (again) for a nifty story. 3
ps-Dare you to write about one of the other droogs next time? *hopeful look*
| Weasley 7/13/12 . chapter 8
I knew this wasn't the end! :3 Pardon me for my sentimentality, but I think I hear the older Malc's voice when I'm reading this (similar to Stanton Infeld, TROLOLOL). That's got to be a good sign, right? ;)
| Weasley 7/13/12 . chapter 7
So very sorry that I'm so late...real life has been using me as a punching bag (figuratively, not literally). I'm glad to have finally taken some of my time back and sat down to read the rest of your story. Not only is Rosalie just fine now, but the family at large (no pun intended) isn't quite out of the woods because Daddy just may have relapsed. However, like you said, two chapters to go, so...on to the rest! *bows and reads on*

| Blairx6661 6/21/12 . chapter 6
This is quite good so far, I'm interested in reading more :)
| TheWeasleyBoys 6/7/12 . chapter 6
Another lovely chapter, and I'm still liking Rosalie and hope she gets well soon. Just want to give you a tiny heads up, though-I think when Alex asks Demetria why she's spatting, mmmaybe he should instead ask her why she's platching, because that word means crying while the first means sleeping. Anyways, hope this helps, and I'll comment again either during or after my vacation. Peace!
| TheWeasleyBoys 6/7/12 . chapter 4
"Jo-lene, Jo-lene, Jo-lene, Jo-leeeeene, I'm beggin' you puh-LEAZE don't take my man!"
(So sorry, I can't help but hear this song every time I read the malenky ptitsa's name. )
Anyways... Thank you for making Alex truly be honest this time, and not sweeping his stupidity under the rug and pretending to be normal when he kinda knows he isn't. It's one thing to own up to a problem, but an entirely different thing when you pretend the problem doesn't exist and that it's somehow everyone else's fault than your own...like he did in the novel/movie. Hope it's okay to say that I kinda like this slightly altered interpretation a little better than the real thing sometimes. :3
| Nova Sinfonia 6/5/12 . chapter 6
Well, I guess I'll have to wait until next week to see what they found out! Though I liked the scene between Demetria and Rosalie. I hope the treatment isn't as frightening for her as it was for Alex (or as upsetting for her mother!)
| Nova Sinfonia 6/5/12 . chapter 5
Ha ha ha... Demetria telling off Chief Barnes! Now I'm curious to see what the doctors' solution is...
| Nova Sinfonia 6/5/12 . chapter 4
Again, an interesting scenario - it seems that Rosalie's symptoms parallel Alex's. Although I doubt that a small kid would NEVER have had a temper tantrum before (re last chapter) I thought that the confusion and worry about her was well done. And here her parents take her to see Dr. Brodsky... oh I see there's another chapter! On to that!
| Pet Archer 5/13/12 . chapter 4
How are you? I've been very busy, of late. That's why I haven't been reviewing much. But I'm not gone; nor have I given up on doing this. I love "A Clockwork Orange", and many of the fanfictions, here. I'm still working on "State Watch".
This chapter takes Alex back to his past. This time: He's got an army of supporters: His wife, Demetria, eldest daughter Rosalie, and even his boss Fred, the Minister of the Interior. Good!
Alex returns to Staja 84F, and re-encounters Chief Barnes - who clearly has no intentions of letting go of Alex's past. He could care less if his wife and daughter are right there! He starts up with his reminder to Alex of his killing the Cat-Lady, when Fred shuts him up, and tells him Alex's child is present!
Before Chief Barnes enters the scene, the guard who was with the group had the gall to utter 'Murderer', in reference to Alex, under his breath. Alex and Demetria heard him, and both glare at him. Demetria is ready for a showdown with them for her husband, for he's changed. He's not that unfeeling sociopath, anymore, now that he's got Demetria, who loves him. It's similar to what Alex is facing in my stories of him changed - and everybody still seeing him - and wanting to see him - as the sociopath he once was!
Alex has to remind Demetria to watch her temper, for he knows how she fights for him!
Finally, the DeLarges and the Minister of the Interior arrive at the Ludovico Center, and meet Drs. Branom and Brodsky. Both doctors take Rosalie in to check her out, and find out how did she inherit Alex's 'familiar sickness'. Fred goes in with Rosalie and the Doctors. Alex and Demetria wait outside - anxious.
Alex remembers this place - and everything he suffered here - all too well. It only seemed like yesterday he was at the Center.
Keep it up, Gilded! I'm eager for more! Hope all turns out well for little Rosalie!
| TheWeasleyBoys 4/23/12 . chapter 3
I look forward to chapter 5, some 'cal' is about to go down, I'm certain. :P Thanks for keeping this going, I'm interested to see how it turns out.
| TheWeasleyBoys 4/23/12 . chapter 2
*Whistles* Ooh, someone's in troubleeee...*reads on*
| Pet Archer 4/14/12 . chapter 2
WHEEEEE! This story's back!
Very nice to see of the massive support Demetria and Rosalie DeLarge got when Alex's Droogs and their wives came to the hospital. Then Alex's Pee and Em came with little Jolene. Then Alex's boss, Fred (the Minister of the Interior) came...
...and Alex comes back! I was glad to read of his return to his family's side!
Unfortunately, poor Rosalie picked up the Ludovico Treatment's side effects whenever she hears Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Poor thing!
However, Alex is going to see to it that the doctors (likely, Branom and Brodsky) undo the effects on little Rosalie. Otherwise, Alex will turn on the government.
Alex certainly isn't playing with his eldest daughter. Nor his family, in general. Talk about having changed for the good!
Great chapter! Looking for more on this!
You're such a good writer, Gilded! Keep it up, as always!
