A beautifully done piece. You handled both characters wonderfully. I've imagined that a good-bye scene between Hotaru and Chibiusa would be similar to this, and I thought the exchange of gifts was very sweet, too. And the song you included as an ending epigraph is one of my favorites. It's so sad, so for some reason that's why I like it.

I found the beginning to be confusing, but once I got into it, I noticed how good it was. Bittersweet, but I could really imagine this happening - two girls, neither of whom has many friends, but they became best friends to each other - and you brought most of this out well.

Wow. I loved this. I'm a big Hotaru fan, and have never really hated Chibi-Usa, so this was a nice bit. Didn't even think it was all that sad, just sweet.

But I've always held onto the thought that the past could alter the future, even slightly...so Maybe, now that she's made all these friendships, Poor Chibi-Usa won't have to be so alone. Oh well, just my 2 cents.
