Very well done although there's one flaw. Misa wasn't prosecuted for her crimes because Near burnt the Death Notes not long after the end of that last ep. She had completely forgotten Light was Kira...all she knew was he was dead.

Although I love how you've written Misa in the context that she was the Mary Magdelene of Lights story. It makes things interesting.

I do like DN fics with strong religious imagery. I thought you caught the atmosphere of Misa's last scene very well, and I liked the explicit Christ analogy with the mention of wood and nails.
