Snap got him the glasses, I guess... I mean, there isn't anyone else I can think of and I hope it because it would be one of the first nice things he's done.

But I didn't understand the part about the discolouration. Were they talking about Harry's face?

Just like his scar, could be because he is Snape's son' not James'. But then the question would be if you can peel some sort of glamour off. And even then, the scar would be part of him when he really was the one Voldemort tried to kill.

Sorry I'm writing so much but I'm so excited about how it will go on...

And I had to laugh about the joke at the end even an hour later and everyone looked at me as if I was crazy :D

So, I hope I can read on soon :)

Awesome chapter! I'm thrilled it was a longer-than-usual update even if you have just piqued my curiosity with an intensity that has me clicking the 'next' button over and over in vain! Why was Dumbledore so anxious? And what was that bit of magic Harry 'saw'? What is this skin discoloration? And though I'm fairly certain who arranged for the Doctor's visit... can we expect any more overt parental attentions from Snape? Ack! I suppose I'll have to be patient.

Despite my brain firing in overtime, I'm really enjoying this story. Your treatment of the characters, like I've said in earlier reviews, is fantastic. Even AU's need their characters to stay...well...in character! And you're still doing a great job of it. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to the next update!

Excellent description of Harry's foggy perceptions and his vision of a troubled Dumbledore. Pomphrey and Snape laughing at Harry's plight of a burned off face with his glasses melted into his head, however, has me truly wishing for them to experience first hand being the sacrifice to a god of a volcano. Total bastards. Neville was such a dear, but I wish he could be more solidly useful, if only Harry knew the right way to get information out of him. Here's Harry bemoaning his lack of knowledge in both the muggle and wizarding worlds. If he doesn't think Ron will cough of the info he needs or he doesn't want to tip Ron off to his info deficit, he should at least look into tapping into the other pureblood wizarding raised kid he's lived with in a dorm room for a few years now. Anyway, I don't care how many pairs of glasses that damn Snape buys for the kid - I still hope he gets dropped into the middle of a lava field. Slowly.

That was rather nice of Snape to request new glasses for Harry. I have to wonder if whatever made Harry look like James also caused the appearance of the scar? Did DumbDumb just do something to the glasses, like remove something the doctor had put on them, or merely check them over to verify they were curse free? At this point, I do not trust DumbDumb very much and Snape is becoming a better than DumbDumb where Harry is concerned.

Dumbledore's actions seem suspicious.

Does he know who Harry's biological father is? And is thus hiding it?

Or was he just concerned about the glasses and scar?

Three words for you Harry... Potion or spell.
