There are a few spelling mistakes but other than that it's great. It really shows gale's strength and determination but his need for his family and comfort too which I thought was perfect

Aww this is heartbreaking. You did a great job of portraying the scenario. I like how Gale was strong; it was very in-character of him to be a rock for his family and not "fall apart" as well as the way he felt all the injustice and wanted to make his father proud. The emotions he felt leading up to his decision to be the strong one, the head of the household were well-written. Nice work.

You captured so much emotion it was almost crushing even from the sheltered safety behind a laptop screen. Heartbreakingly perfect. Hats off to you.

It's pretty nice, but the ending would have been better if the last sentence was:"For my family."
