Jim married to Marlena of all people..that's kinda odd but she was from the Mirror universe so it kind of makes sense...and poor Jim. It's sad every time they have to part.

I really like how it's turning out so far, but I would've loved to see Kirk get into a religious debate with Spock. That would be awesome :o

Interesting start. I don't mind if there's no happy ending because there really isn't one in the Original.

Im guessing that by next chapter..Jim will have divorced his wife, and perhaps Spock will have taken one?

WHAT! NO! What happened to the star crossed lovers? passionate even from a distance? it sucks but it's a freaking wonderful gift?

I feel like being all "I'm so dissapointed," but I'm really not because I can't wait to see where this goes. I can only hope that the story doesn't end here.

This chapter was excellent, and I'd say the best of everything written in this story so far. In the first paragraph or two, you establish that something monumental has changed between this and the last time Spock and Kirk have met; only to let that idea go with the idea that they're destined to be together, and that nothing will keep them apart. Then you bring it back with a great, tension filled moment, fleeting, but still effective, and inform us that Kirk is MARRIED, and that their story (Kirk's and Spock's) isn't perfect, and that real life tends to interfere. Can't wait for more.

And about chapter 3: Kepler, the elipses' man!

Oh, this is so heartbreaking...

I like the story. But... will we have something dramatic happening, or just the lingering sadness? I'm curious. Both would be ok in a poisonous way, I must say.

And now the real heartache begins. Talk about star-crossed lovers.

Kepler? Is that the new planet that could be habitable?
