OH. What a place to end the chapter! Gosh, that is SUCH an epic twist - I can only *imagine* how Ianto is going to react to this...! Yet another reminder that Jack will have to live on without him D: I adored the moment between them when Ianto was lyiny awake in bed - so reminded me of what he says in the radio play "The Dead Line", especially about Jack's dreams. PERFECT. AND SWEET. Aaahhh can't believe I'm almost finished this... happy and sad at the same time!
*squees* I've had to steal time to read fanfic recently, so I'm so happy to get to come back to this :D AHHHH all the small details truly just grab me, like Ianto's driving, and Ianto's thoughts about the coffee table and his trousers and SQUEEEE. Jack is TOO ADORABLE, cooking like that - always believed that at SOME time in his long life, he must have learned to cook ;) Altho, seeing him in Tesco's would be pretty hilarious ;) LOVE. SO MUCH. :P
OH MY GOD. xD Seriously, you guys are FREAKING AWESOME :D This chapter... phewww! SO GOOD. I LOVE that Ianto is just as lost as Jack, perhaps more so - so often it's portrayed as the other way round, which doesn't seem quite right to me somehow. And the way that they are navigating through their relationship here, sliding from what they were to what they are, it's PERFECT because it also made me remember that I've always thought Jack and Ianto's relationship changed around this point of the series - after Something Borrowed, they just seemed DIFFERENT with each other. And so THIS is perfect! :) Okay, and the imagery is just magical - like, using the windscreen wipers to make the world a little less blurry, right after Ianto's made HIS world a little less blurry by figuring out a tiny thing with Jack? AAHHHH. GENIUS. LOVE. xD
Awwww, I really REALLY enjoyed the almost domestic moment between Jack and Ianto here :) And to see Jack caring about Ianto's wellbeing... TOO CUTE. xD Wish we'd seen a bit more of that during the series - but I am certain it was there 'behind the scenes' :) YAY for Owen's appearance, heheee ;) ANd PIZZA, woooo! :)
*tears up* Ohhh this is so beautiful! Honestly. And even though, looking back, this chapter didn't have a lot of action, you guys said SO MUCH just in gestures and emotions that I completely didn't care - in fact, the fact that the action *was* slower was just perfect for this moment, and the feelings that Jack and Ianto are negotiating. Squeeee! Just the perfect amount of fluff, but with that touch of angst too. :D Aaaahh and the traffic light imagery, SO TRUE. AND the tea spilling, and Jack being the one wanting to clean up... ASDFGJLKJ; :D ILY guys!
*bounces along* I'm finally here, catching up with my fanfic reading! :D And gosh, am I excited about reading this. 'From Out Of The Rain' has always fascinated me, particularly with Ianto's reactions to the whole case - there simply MUST be something behind it, it's so... noticeable in this episode. So HOORAY you're picking this up and writing a fic about it - you've made my day already! You truly write the background details so well, like the driving, the streets, the rain, it builds up such a powerful atmosphere that I feel so absorbed in this world. I just adore it :) Plus, your unique take on the dynamics between Jack and Ianto is something that I always enjoy :D So yeah, what I'm trying to say is... HOORAY FIC MUST READ xD xx
