Oh gosh, I don't know where to begin with this most excellent chapter!

Gut wrenching, yes, but beautifully written and it kept me on edge until the final scene. I want to rush out to read the next chaper but want to do justice to this one first. You've always been a most excellent writer but you've outdone yourself with this chapter!

You portrayed Reid as the perfect serial killer, a monster, while instilling him with a voice that almost sounded calm and collected! Well done! (Some authors have pointed out that when I quote sections at length, it's tantamount to putting spoilers in the Review box so I've cut back on that practice.)

Although John was injured and in pain, I loved the fact that he was his usual BAMF self, and that Sherlock's safety and life was paramount to him - entirely within character. This passage was excellent: "...Sherlock had to survive this. John was expendable, Sherlock was not. John knew what the world was like without Sherlock and he would not live in that place again."

So John is willing to do what it takes to get them out of this situation and I found the violence and what John and Sherlock did to save themselves entirely believable.

I've been waiting (we've all been waiting) for John to declare his feelings and the fact that you made it necessary he do so - in front of the killer and Sherlock - made the much-awaited moment doubly angsty moment.

Just Love, Loved, LOVED this chapter and on to the next! Thank you.

I swear every time i see a new chapter in my in box its like incredulas angels singing "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" I have to admit, however, that its been such a long time i just stared at the chapter for a while in shock wasnt quite sure what to do with myself and re-read the previous chapter as a refresher. I loved this chapter and its solidifying things quite nicely, i loved that they where married and nothing changed but this is great, better even. I am particularly fond of this writing and the capturing of Sherlock and John, i look forward to more and really really hope i'll see a new chapter in the somewhat near future. Thanks again.
