This is awesome. I can imagine each and every one of the flashbacks happening between the two of them. I was laughing the whole time (I'm thinking that you put some "Freeman's Mind " references in, did you not?). The notion that Gordon checked every dead security guard to see if it was Barney is very believable and helps to show their close friendship.I was also sensing that you were hinting at a bit more than just friendship.

All in all, wonderful.
