Yeah, I totally don't agree with whatever reviewers said Danny was making this about himself because this was so DANNY that I loved every minute of it. You're right, Danny does mask concern in anger ALL the time in the show, that's his coping mechanism and you displayed it fabulously. I especially liked how Steve handled it because Steve KNOWS Danny and knows exactly what he was doing. Loved it.

Oh and LOVED the Danny-rants. As I've told you, literally one of my favorite parts of the show and you delivered with them in an awesome fashion. Well done!

amazing story and you definately have the character of Danny right on. Ranting in Danny's world is the equivalent of saying I care about you and worry. Having Steve find security in his suroundings when he hears it was icing on the cake well well done wish there was more.

I still can't believe that people misunderstood this story. I thought Danny going off on Steve was perfect. Those two screaming at each other is exactly how they show they care about each other.

For the record I loved this. Every bit of it. Beginning to end. I think you have the guys down cold and the h/c was lovely.

danny's snapping at steve is just expression of his concern and he doesn't mean it bad, right?

In light of your A/N at the end of the story: I don't think they get that Danny rants...a lot. But it's his way of showing he cares enough to be upset. The more Steve's hurt, the louder Danny gets. He's upset that Steve's hurt; he's upset that Steve, again, has gone into where angels fear to tread...

You were able to capture Danny's voice perfectly. Thanks for that because sometimes he's not the easiest character to write. As one of my best friends would say, "Ya done good." :-)

I like Danny here - it doesn't seem O.O.C at all and it does make sense that Danny would yell - it is how he cares - the angrier he gets at Steve, the more worried he's been. I also like that you've written it that Steve would take comfort from the rants - despite his sensitivity to sound. I really like your slow build as well - nice work!

The people who left those reviews apparently don't understand the relationship between Danno and Steve. I think you captured Danny's voice perfectly, and his reaction was completely in character. Well done.
