Bella's so innocent trying to live up to her sister's legend, so quick to want to grow up. Edward and Emmett want to protect and keep them from growing up too fast. He definitely is hung up on Bella, while he never keeps the same girl on his arm longer than a few days. Throughout, it seems like Edward is coming to terms with Bella's honesty and Tanya's lies, that they are different, perhaps even feeling a little guilty that they were sisters. It's bittersweet realizing that he should have held out for the good girl. I have to wonder if the baby was really his, after all she did continue to see Eric, and of course Edward would be willing to 'do the right thing'. "Tanya wasn't afraid to tell [Bella] the truth," and she did tell Bella it was Eric's. Is it possible that for all her lies, Tanya didn't want to ruin Edward's life by making him raise Eric's child? In the end what does it matter? Both Bella and Edward suffered due to her lying and cheating ways. Your writing is so hauntingly beautiful, keep it up.

Um how could you possibly date your sisters ex boyfriend who impregnated her? Even if she had passed away. Especially since she was the one who left him. Wouldn't you always worry that you didn't measure up to her? That you are her replacement? Wouldn't it always eat at you that if she had stayed with Edward, wanted him, he would have married her. I just don't really see ever getting over that.

Loved the story but it seemed like Bella was just second best.

Your writing is really beautiful, you made me feel very sad with this story. The sadness didn't dissipate at the end of the story though, Bella was like second best for Edward and the feeling of love was never present coming from him.
