You have filled out Harry's character, as well his powers, by showing that he has moments where his power can endanger others, in spite of his efforts to protect.

His ability to combine his mutant powers and his magic should become much more interesting as he learns more at Hogwarts.

I wonder if Ron\s powers might have something to do with the cold that Harry is giving him strange looks that, with Hermione's insatiable curiosity, will we have something like the Cheshire Cat? Or maybe the Caterpillar on the Mushroom" dispensing wise wisdom. (Snort) Can't you just see her puffing on that Arabic water pipe?

Anyway, thank you for a very "interesting", and fun story. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with.

Neat section, and enjoyed seeing Harry getting more training, some more of Meggan, one of my fav X-folk, and then how things went with the Troll, and will be interesting to see how things go as the year progresses and if it means they might go for the Stone much earlier than usual.

I've got to be honest, I'm really disappointed with this chapter. I like your story as a whole, but what's the point of making it AU if you're just going to write it exactly the same as canon? Harry always ALMOST takes Hermione's side over Ron when he's being a prat. Why not have him actually stand up to Ron and force a change before the troll? It makes Harry seem like a totally spineless character. It still fell to Ron to cast that stupid charm on the troll's club when Harry could have blasted it into unconsciousness from the start. Why? The only change seems to be you trying to develop that horrible unresolved sexual tension that Ron and Hermione shared in canon a little early, which is even WORSE than canon! Sorry about the negative review, but please give serious thought to making some actual changes, and if you're going to write Ron/Hermione, please write it better.

Ok, first on my mind is: whats inside Harry? First thought is, pregnant? Next, an active reactor?. A copy of a new prophecy? (hey, come on, this Harry,anything is possible)

We know about Ron, and Draco Malfoy ran away more than once, that leaves Hermione, Why was she disapointed, and so ancious to follow Harry? (grin) Which of the three will try to ambush Harry when he gets back, or all three?

Harry's magic is playong with his mutient powers. If Hermione has powere, will her magic effect then? ... Wonder if the activve magic is what if takes to trigger the Wessley powers?

(VERY crooked grin) Wonder if the "Golden Trio" will become "Goldem Trio", Super Crime fighters (snicker).

Aarrrrg! I absolutely refuse to irritate authors about how fast they work ((thet might quit, honors) so I will wait patiently (?) beside my Story Alert.

Loving your ideas here, but what a cliff! Remember that the poor kid is only 11. He seems more adult than child much of the time, that is to be expected somewhat, but it seems a little excessive unless there is something more than I know.
