This is funny and quite cute. I understand what the kids are going through, with limited food choices, because I can't cook either. May I make a suggestion? If you choose to revise, say something about how old Jim-Bob and Elizabeth are. It doesn't have to be specific. Something as simple as describing one of them as a pre-teen or a teenager would do it. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it!
