So far, so good. I'm really liking what you're doing with the story. The relationship between Tarrant and Alice is developing very well, and Mally and Thackary are fun also. The end of chapter five has me on the edge of my seat, I can't wait to see what else you come up with!

NamelessSaint does bring up some good points and I do agree with some stuff s/he has to say. But again it is very early in the story to predetermine some things that will happen throughout and it will be more developed. I do like some of the stuff going on here; you do paint a picture without going into paragraphs of every last little detail. Most of the characters are into character and like said a little earlier, Alice should feel more self reliant and more at home. This story is still in process and I can't wait to delve more into it (:

Well, there is not much to review at this point so I will just point out one thing. This line, "Alice said timidly" near the end. Hmmm...? With Alice being the Champion of Underland do you really think there is going to be anything "timid" about her? Probably not, not anymore. She is a vibrant, strong young woman at this point and definitely knows her own mind.

Please tell me that Alice has NOT come just to be with Hatter...
